Kennedy made some wonderful new friends...whom she felt were like sisters to her...Friends who had been in the orphanage the same time as she was. These five young ladies made such an incredible bond with one another during the week. Aspen, Keira, Bridget and Melanie...you will always be special. Thank you for sharing those wonderful Yangzhou memories with Kennedy.
I can only wish such relationships for all our children. These are the kind of friendships that can last from birth to grave. Reminds me of my grandmother's childhood friends she kept in touch with in Sweden til she was 89, even though she only got to see them two or three times between being 20 and then. I am so happy for you Kennedy, and all the girls.
Beijing in Chinese means "capital in the north". Its establishment could be traced back to more than 3000 years ago. From 1272 to 1911, Beijing was the capital of Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. After the People's Republic of China was founded in 1949, Beijing is the capital of new China.

The Forbidden City
Welcome to Kennedy and James' tour of Beijing's Forbidden City. After entering the Meridian Gate, located at the Southern end of the complex, visitors arrive in an immense courtyard with five bridges stretching over the Golden Water. The five bridges represent the five Confucian virtues of humanity, sense of duty, wisdom, reliability and ceremonial propriety.
